Dalit Development Programme [DDP], Mannanam in Kottayam is a major rural development project undertaken by Samagra Vikas with the partnership of European Commission and Karl Kuebel Stiftung of Germany. This project is for a period of five years with the objective of improving the life situation of the community through a process of social empowerment and sustainable economic development. Various interventions of the project are construction of new pakka houses, renovation of damaged ones, promotion of income generation activities such as goat-rearing, food processing units, animal husbandry, dress making etc. Training sessions on computer operations, tailoring and social-empowerment are the other important capacity-building activities.
