Samagra Vikas - Interventions
Child Development
Samagra Vikas has partnered with Central Social Welfare Board to establish crèches. This intervention has reduced to some extent, the burden of the women working in farms in the neighbourhood.
A day-care centre for children with learning difficulties has been established in Adoor. Four trained staff members are facilitating their growth and mental development. The children are from nearby villages.
In order to enable the brilliant but economically poor children to continue with their education, Samagra Vikas supports them with a scholarship programmme and this has reduced the number of dropouts. Samagra Vikas has also facilitated the children to form neighbourhood groups named,”Bala Vikas” to acquire life skills and good values from early childhood itself.
